Healthy Cooking Class: Meals on the Go - Make Your Own Buddha Bowl
Master the basics of whole-food, organic cooking while learning new culinary techniques and styles.
Come learn how to create healthy, balanced, simple meals that can be reinvented multiple times throughout your busy week! In this class, we will use basic culinary skills to create quick, delicious meals using a combination of foods that will not break the bank. We will discuss and make various Buddha Bowls - one bowl meals that were originally vegetarian but can be made in a variety of delicious combinations including:
- whole grains such quinoa
- legumes
- animal proteins
- veggies
- different sauces
All recipes will include a vegan and gluten-free variation when requested in advance. All ingredients and materials are included in the class fees. Attendees will receive generous samples and printed recipes to take home. Class size limited to 20 people. Classes are $40 each or $32 for Bastyr University Clinic patients. Discounts available for seniors, military and students.
