Cybersecurity Workshop

The recent Executive Order 13636 called for NIST to work with industry to develop a set of voluntary standards and best practices to reduce cyber risks to critical infrastructure that is vital to the nation’s economy, security and daily life. NIST is inviting cybersecurity experts, industry and academia from across the nation to attend one of its regional workshops at UC San Diego to identify, refine and guide the many interrelated considerations, challenges and efforts needed to build this framework.

Please join civic, business, academic communities and lend your voice to the process and its outcome. NIST is interested in collecting information about current risk management practices; use of frameworks, standards, guidelines and best practices; and specific industry practices. The majority of the workshop will consist of working groups, providing an opportunity for attendees for discussion and feedback. Due to space limitations, registration for this workshop will be limited to 600 participants. Plenary sessions will be webcast and reports on breakout sessions will be available after the workshop.
