The workshop will emphasize the importance of empathy and adaptability in bridging generational gaps.

  • Effective Communication: Attendees will explore communication techniques that resonate with each generation's preferences. From traditional to digital communication methods, the workshop will offer insights into fostering clear and respectful cross-generational interactions.

Speakers

Sarah Hassaine, Director of Diversity & Inclusion, ResMed

Sarah Hassaine is the Head of Inclusion and Diversity at the digital sleep health

company ResMed. She has ten years of experience in the D&I space, starting at

Amazon where she helped with recruiting and retaining women in Applied Sciences,

and then at Qualcomm where she led their conference engagement, affinity group

expansion, leadership support, and their inclusion building programs and initiatives

for more than four years. At ResMed, Sarah leads the team’s implementation and design of a global strategy, expanding their knowledge of D&I concepts, growing the impact of

their affinity groups, and working closely with leaders and stakeholders across the company.

Prior to finding her niche, Sarah worked as a Government contractor with Deloitte, then in international development and government consulting around

the world. She worked at InterNews supporting democracy development in the MENA region, and in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, leading an organization for up-skilling and training ex-pat women. Sarah is very devoted to community empowerment and has done work in cross-cultural and intra-faith initiatives. At home in San Diego, she devotes her time to refugee assimilation efforts, as well as across the border in Mexico with orphanages.

Sarah currently serves on three Boards - the Southwest chapter of Planned Parenthood, the Kim Center for Social Balance championing workplace equity, and the North San Diego Business Chamber.

Sarah earned her Executive MBA from the Wharton Business School at UPenn in 2021, her MA in Policy from George Washington University, and her BA in International Affairs from UC San Diego. She is trilingual, fluent in both French and Arabic. Her strengths lie in strategy, change management, cultural growth and transformation,

M&A , branding, PR, reporting, and community outreach.
