Health Advisory Council

Health is a priority for North San Diego Business Chamber as it plays an important role in shaping the region's economy. The Health Advisory Council strives to be the catalyst that connects business and health.

The Council works with topic experts, public authorities, community leaders, Chamber Members, and other organizations to educate San Diego businesses about regional health care issues that impact their bottom line and workforce productivity.

Advisory Council Members are responsible for discussing and deciding, by vote, the goals, activities, and strategies that the Chamber uses to deliver up-to-date, health-related information to enhance the quality of life for San Diegans.

Speaker: Dr. Ghandi

Pratiksha Gandhi, MD, is a preventive heart health physician with nearly three decades of clinical experience. Over the course of her career, she has successfully treated more than 100,000 patients in India, with a reported success rate of 95%, focusing on root-cause, prevention-first cardiovascular care.

Dr. Gandhi has worked with patients from around the world, many of whom seek her expertise after conventional cardiology treatments or surgical interventions have failed to fully resolve their concerns. She is now bringing her extensive knowledge and clinical experience to San Diego, with a mission to transform how heart health is understood, supported, and sustained.

She is the author of five books and has been featured in U.S. News, California Herald, Times of India, LA Wire, and NY Weekly. Dr. Gandhi has been acknowledged by the California State Assembly and was honored with the 2016 President’s Volunteer Service Award for her exceptional contributions to GuardaHeart and her dedication to saving lives through heart health advocacy.

In 2016, the International Association of Cardiologists (New York, USA) recognized her as The Leading Physician of the World, and in March 2017, she was named one of the Top 50 Global Women Healthcare Leaders.
