2018 Coaches Cup supporting Rady Children's Hospital

 

 

There are adult leagues for baseball and basketball.  You see alumni events for soccer and swimming.  But have you ever seen adults do gymnastics??… You will Sunday, June 10th at the inaugural Coaches Cup 2018 at North County Gymnastics and the Gyminny Kids!

 

The event will pit coach against coach, male and female, on the 4 Women’s Olympic Artistic Gymnastics events.  They will push themselves to a physical and flexible level never imaged to raise money for Rady Children’s Hospital.  The top to people who get the most donations per coach will get to be on the floor for the event to provide encouragement, give corrections, and get some wicked selfies.

 

If that wasn’t exciting enough, current NCAA Division 1 Women’s College Gymnastics Coach for UCLA  Valerie Kondos Field and team star Christine Peng Peng Lee will be in the house.  Val Kondos Field will provide some celebrity judging while Peng Peng Lee will compete and wipe the floor with our coaches.  Top fundraisers will also get the opportunity to meet these two collegiate greats.

Valerie Kondos Field has been the head coach at UCLA since 1991 and has led the team to 7 National Championship Titles and 15 Pac-12 Championship Titles. 

 

Christine Peng Peng Lee is a 2012 Olympian in the Canadian National Team.  She has received 10 perfect 10 scores in her UCLA collegiate career and won the 2018 National Beam Title on the way to UCLA’s 2018 National Championship win.

 

North County Gymnastics & The Gyminny Kids is a family owned and operated gymnastics facility located in Rancho Bernardo.  The facility, opened in 1986, has a robust recreational and competitive program with over 2,500 athletes currently enrolled.  With a motto of fun and fitness for all, North County Gymnastics has been a mainstay in the community and continues to grow.
