Personnel Law Compliance
This course provides human resource professionals, supervisors, managers, and executives with an overview of federal and California employment laws and alerts participants to actions needed by employers to avoid corporate and personal liability as well as penalties for non-compliance with workplace laws. Topics include: equal opportunity policies; employment discrimination and retaliation; pre-employment inquiries and reference checks; minimum wage, overtime, and other critical wage and hour issues; employee classification as exempt or nonexempt; and wrongful termination.
