MOMIX: Alchemia

MOMIX, the exceptionally inventive company of dancer-illusionists, will present Alchemia, a riveting multimedia spectacle exploring themes of invention, beauty, sensuality, and humor. This new work about the art of alchemy was born of the untamed mind of MOMIX?s choreographer Moses Pendleton. As a founding member of Pilobolus Dance Theater, which performed at the Center last season, Pendleton said ?Pilobolus uses bodies as props; MOMIX uses props as bodies, combining bodies to create other imagery.? Alchemia manipulates the four classic elements: earth, air, fire, and water, to create a visually arresting theatrical experience full of whimsy, sensuality, beauty, and intrigue.
