SPEAKER: Bob Kamensky brings over 35 years of strategic operations experience to his role as CEO of Feeding San Diego. After a lengthy career in the military, he retired from the U.S. Navy as a rear admiral. As he transitioned to the civilian side, he gained additional experience in leadership roles at for-profit companies and in academia as an adjunct professor. Bob joined the non-profit sector in 2021 when he came on as Feeding San Diego’s Chief Strategy Officer. He became CEO in 2024 with a renewed commitment to leading the organization in executing its mission to connect every hungry person with nutritious meals by maximizing food rescue. He oversees all major departments of the non-profit, and directly engages with financial, administrative, human resources, donor development, marketing & communications and programs.
In his daily work, he focuses on his core business principles, which include being mission-driven, employing servant leadership, and practicing good stewardship of the organization's resources.
