Tell us about your company.

Windermere Homes & Estates is rapidly becoming a leader in Residential and Commercial Real Estate sales in San Diego, California. The reason I choose to work as an agent of Windermere is that their integrity, character, ethics, and philosophy match my own. They are agent centric, not all about growing the business at any cost.

What products or services does your business provide?

Residential and Commercial Real Estate sales

What was the most memorable or successful moment in your business' history?

I have received a Five Star Realtor award for the 10th year in a row recently. It acknowledges me by my clients, fellow agents, and company for who I am, how I treat people, and how I handle their business. I feel more personally rewarded with the many seniors, first time home buyers, family members who lose their loved ones and need to sell their homes whom I'm able to help. That is my success!

Tell us an interesting fact about your business.

Windermere has an annual community service day. They close all of the offices, and give the staff paid time off to join the Realtors in giving to the community. Not only have we given thousands of dollars each time, but we go to the facility, and roll up our sleeves, and get painting, or host a carnival for sheltered children, create a garden out of a dirt patch, whatever needs doing to be of service. This year we shined some light into SD Children's Center, and we were all brightened by it.

What tips/advice can you offer that is related to your business' industry?

When I became a Realtor 15 years ago, I read a book called Attracting Perfect Customers, and it advised: Be the Lighthouse, Shine the Brightest, and the Boats will come to you! You shine the brightest by constant self improvement.

Do you have any upcoming events or information you want your fellow Chamber Members and the community to know about?

Until recently, I was President of the Rancho Bernardo Historical Society for 7 years. We recently teamed with another Non-Profit committed to the Community, the RB Noon Rotary to develop a new community event called Vines and Vittles, at Webb Lake Park. It is a Western themed event for all ages. There will be Tastings of food, beer, and wine, and a children's zone with a petting zoo, face painting, and an exhibit of our Native American heritage, including authentic items, music, and dancing. We plan to repeat this event every year. This is the way Rancho Bernardo grew after the planned community was built beginning in 1962: the original newspaper Brandings, girls softball, little league, golf, lawn bowling, restaurants, hotels, July 4th Parade, RB Alive Street Fair, Chamber Of Commerce, the Rancho Bernardo Business Association, and so on. From a tiny acorn, a mighty oak came forth!
