What was the most memorable or successful moment in your business' history?

On October 1st, 2019 we officially evolved from Point Loma Credit Union to MyPoint Credit Union.

It’s our commitment to you and genuine love for what we do that unites every single one of us. Because, at the end of the day, we’re not just tellers or managers or loan officers- we’re your confidants and we’re the ultimate proponent of you doing you. We’re all in this together, and we support each other in any way we can, so we can all do what we do even better.

 

Tell us an interesting fact about your business.

At MyPoint Credit Union, we are always looking for ways to encourage our members and to recognize their achievements. To help them achieve their dreams. Each year, we help deserving students defray the costs of a college education by awarding three, $2,500 college scholarships to outstanding high school seniors through our Scholarship Program. Our vision is to create a community of people who are able to do life in their own terms.

 

What tips/advice can you offer that is related to your business' industry?

We believe life is about doing what inspires you, what drives you, what truly matters to you. No matter what you want, need, or love to do, we’re here to help. At MyPoint you are able to have the individual attention of a personal banker that can help you navigate through the ups and downs in life and business.

We have a monthly virtual workshop series to help you through every financial stage and decision in life. We provide one-on-one financial tips, education, guidance, resources, and an open opportunity for you to ask questions about financial wellness.

 

Do you have any upcoming events or information you want your fellow Chamber Members and the community to know about?

We offer a “We Help You Do online workshop series” for everyone in the community. “Five Steps to Solar” will be our next free virtual workshop.

Join us to learn five steps that show you how solar can help you cut down your monthly electricity bill and protect you against rising costs. Whether your motivations for going solar are economic or environmental, there are multiple benefits that can make a difference in your budget and your carbon footprint.
