DESCRIPTION:The San Diego North Chamber of Commerce is pleased to host the "Weight of the Workplace: Promoting a Healthy Bottom Line" to educate the business community on the facts surrounding workplace wellness and offer solutions and resources for employers\, and employees\, to use in incorporating wellness into their workplace.\n\n	\n\n	 The program will feature a keynote speech by San Diego County Supervisor Dave Roberts followed by a short viewing of the HBO documentary "How Wellness Programs Can Help the American Workforce." A panel of distinguished experts in the field of health and wellness will then provide unique insight into the positive effects of wellness programs and explore how the San Diego business community can start\, grow and/or improve upon their very own workplace wellness program.\n\n	\n\n	 The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions of the panelists before dividing up into break-out groups to further delve into workplace wellness solutions in a more intimate setting with the help of a recognized industry expert to guide the collaborative group discussions.\n\n	\n\n	With the goal of controlling costs while improving worker productivity and health\, many companies are instituting wellness programs for their employees.
