A Midwest native\, Stacy's higher education career included roles at College of DuPage\, Roosevelt University\, and over a decade at Drake University. She is deeply embedded in the communities served by Palomar College and serves on the Board of Directors of the North San Diego Business Chamber. Stacy\, along with her husband Rick and son Luke reside in San Marcos.
