SUMMARY:Leaders of Change: Aztec Basketball Coach Steve Fisher
DESCRIPTION:Leading a Team to Their Highest Potential\n\n \n\nCoach Steve Fisher\, \n\nHead Basketball Coach \n\nSan Diego State University\n\nSteve Fisher is beginning his 16th season as head coach of San Diego State University.\n\n\n\nNo head-coaching career\, at any level\, started quicker than that of Fisher. Six games into his head-coaching career with Michigan\, he was undefeated and sporting a national championship ring. \n\n\n\nHis accomplishments may be even greater at San Diego State. In 2001-02 he led the Aztecs to the postseason for the first time since 1985 and for just the fourth time ever. The 21 wins were second most for the school as a Division I program and the most since 1985. Those numbers came after just three seasons with the program.\n\n\n\nHe followed that up with a third consecutive season with a .500 or better record in 2002-03 and led SDSU back to the postseason for the second consecutive season for only the second time in the school's Division I history. In addition\, SDSU claimed its first Division I postseason victory with a win in the NIT. \n\n\n\nRead full bio
