What does this mean for San Diego?\n	\n	\n	What are the gaps in the current higher education/workforce landscape (from an employer?s perspective)\n	\n	\n	Cost of retaining talented workforce\n	\n\n\nSpeakers\n\n \n\n\n	\n		\n			\n			\n			Peter Callstrom\n\n			President and CEO\, San Diego Workforce Partnership\n			\n\n			Peter had led nonprofit organizations in the San Diego region since 1986 including services to adults with disabilities\, the homeless\, and under-represented job seekers. With an annual budget of $40 million\, the Workforce Partnership funds and delivers workforce programs to train and support job seekers to meet the needs of regional employers. The Workforce Partnership also conducts in-depth labor market research in order to understand employer?s needs and trends in our economy. With an emphasis on underserved and under-represented populations\, but available to all job seekers\, the Workforce Partnership and its funded partners serve 60\,000+ job seekers annually.\n\n			\n\n			 \n		\n		\n			 \n			 \n		\n		\n			\n			\n			Erik Bruvold\n\n			Chief Economist\, National University System \n			\n\n			Eric Bruvold has been involved with San Diego politics and policy making for two decades. Prior to his work at NUSIPR\, Erik served as Vice President at the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation (EDC) where he oversaw the organization's public policy efforts on a range of issues impacting San Diego's business climate.\n\n			\n\n			  \n		\n		\n			 \n			 \n		\n		\n			\n			\n			Matthew J. Ceppi\n\n			Associate Vice President for Institutional Planning and Analysis and\n\n			Chief of Staff\n			\n\n			Dr. Matthew Ceppi has over 17 years of experience in higher education planning and management. In his current role as Associate Vice President for Institutional Planning and Analysis and Chief of Staff to the president at California State University San Marcos\, Dr. Ceppi focuses the university leadership team on key policy issues and fosters a comprehensive university planning effort aligned with the vision and priorities of the institution. Dr. Ceppi previously served as Director of System-wide Quality Improvement for the California State University system. He has delivered presentations and talks on trends in higher education public policy\, accountability and performance measurement and is an adjunct professor of leadership studies. Dr. Ceppi holds a doctorate from Creighton University and is a proud alumnus of the California public higher education system\, having received his bachelor's degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
