SUMMARY:Go Red for Women! Campaign for Cardiovascular Health
DESCRIPTION:I'm excited to be nominated for the American Heart Association Go Red for Women movement's Woman of Impact campaign. As part of this year's nationwide class of changemakers\, I've brought together a team that's working to make the greatest impact possible on women's health. We will be raising much-needed funds for Go Red for Women and working to improve the health of our communities. I hope we can count on your support!? \n\nSince 2004\, Go Red for Women has been addressing awareness and clinical care gaps\, funding lifesaving research\, and advocating for transformational policies all to fight back against women's greatest health threat\, cardiovascular disease. But there is still so much more work to be done. Women motivate each other\, educate each other\, and inspire each other. The Go Red for Women movement unites and connects women to ensure\, when it comes to their health\, every woman is counted and no woman has to go it alone. \n\nAs a driving force in transforming women's health\, Go Red for Women is committed to: \n\nFunding Science and Research: For too long\, women have been underrepresented. In fact\, less than 40% of research participants are women.?\n\nWomen's Health Through the Life Course: As a woman ages\, her risk for cardiovascular disease changes. Yet the majority of heart attacks and strokes can be prevented through education and healthy living.?\n\nBridging the Gap: Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women\, yet women are underdiagnosed and undertreated. From receiving bystander CPR to facing inequities in care\, women deserve better.?\n\nOur team is driven to prevent heart disease and stroke. We're building awareness\, promoting healthy lifestyles\, and raising critical funds Because together\, we're stronger against cardiovascular disease. Together\, we have an unmatched ability to drive real change.\n\nhttps://www2.heart.org/site/TR?team_id=890948&fr_id=11882&pg=team&NONCE_TOKEN=B31C4C4CEE5B48D2CC5CD0F0F0DD6136&fbclid=IwY2xjawITYBxleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHb_AW7QnXWE_WOzDB7mYA6ENbtngfcy4MW1aw4rUeQMuxMGk9cDJYTH-3w_aem_mUCHkKY9MuJdc9OcXy3c7A#loaded
