As a scientist\, as much as she loved cancer research\, she missed the patient interaction she grew up to in her father?s office.  While attending an Ivy League Institution\, Dr. Pfeffer won numerous awards and leadership positions\, as well as obtained her Doctorate in Dental Medicine DMD\, while gaining a Masters in Medical Ethics from Medical School at University of Pennsylvania. She then continued on to USC for a hospital residency where she helped worked with veterans\, trauma victims\, medically compromised\, cancer patients and in the operating room for those patients with special needs. From there she attended a 2nd residency in orthodontics where she received a Masters of Science in Oral Biology. She has spent the majority of her career working in non-profit organizations including the YWCA\, Visiting Nurse Association\, Epilepsy Society\, American Red Cross and now has landed at Meals on Wheels San Diego County.  At the beginning of her career\, she worked primarily in program development\, but the last four years have been in fund development. As a fundraising professional\, I know that what I do makes a difference and ensures that programs & services will be around now and if I do my job right\, the next generation.
