DESCRIPTION:This meeting is for Economic Development and Advocacy Advisory Council and open to all members in good standing. If there is a topic of interest\, please join us\, and there is time allocated on agenda for member comment. \n\n\n\nOn December 5th the Economic Development Advisory Council will be hear presentations regarding an important housing initiative on the March 2020 ballot\, Save Our San Diego Countryside.\n\n\n\nThis initiative\, if passed\, would require a public vote on back-country housing developments of six or more units that don't meet the County's General Plan. It would effectively strip the County Board of Supervisors of their land use authority\, placing all minor and major decisions in the hands of the voters in San Diego County.\n\n\n\nThe SOS initiative has the potential to forever alter how housing is created outside of the County's General plan.
