Scott and his team are responsible for the daily IT support\, Cyber Security protection\, digital disaster recovery planning\, phone systems and cloud services for many businesses and nonprofits in San Diego & Denver. Scott enjoys reading business books\, watching and playing hockey\, anything related to self improvement and continuously learning how to be healthier through a holistic approach.\n\n			 \n		\n	\n\n \n\n\n	\n		\n			Mike Teays\n\n			Chief Information Security Officer\n\n			County of San Diego\n\n			\n\n			Michael Teays is the CISO for the County of San Diego where he held this position for the past 15 years.  He received his B.S.E.E. from the University of Michigan 1981. After a twenty-year career in information technology systems engineering\, telephony\, and information technology program management\, Mr. Teays redirected his career objectives to the new and evolving IT security management discipline.  Mr. Teays is now responsible for the oversite and IT security management of the County of San Diego that is comprised 48 unique departments\, over 400 applications\, employs over 13\,000 employees and a current IT budget that exceeds $130 million annually. He enjoys the outdoors\, especially hiking\, photography and the study of mathematics.  He can be contacted at mike.teays@sdcounty.ca.gov.\n		\n	\n\n \n\n\n	\n		\n			Sergeant Mark Varnau\n\n			Supervisor\, Computer and Technology Crime High-Tech Response Team \n\n			San Diego County Sheriff's Department\n\n			\n\n			Sergeant Mark Varnau is a 31-year veteran of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.  For the past five years he has been assigned within the District Attorney's Office as the Law Enforcement Coordinator for the Computer And Technology Crime High-tech response team known as CATCH.  Sergeant Varnau directs the efforts of task force investigators specializing in computer and on-line cybercrimes.  He also supervises the computer forensic specialists within the CATCH computer lab.  Prior to CATCH\, Sergeant Varnau supervised the Sheriff's Financial Crimes and Elder Abuse units for more than five years.
