For the past five years he has been assigned within the District Attorney's Office as the Law Enforcement Coordinator for the Computer And Technology Crime High-tech response team known as CATCH. Sergeant Varnau directs the efforts of task force investigators specializing in computer and on-line cybercrimes. He also supervises the computer forensic specialists within the CATCH computer lab.
