DESCRIPTION:North San Diego Business Chamber and SDG&E invite you to a forum with the candidates on October 6th from 5-7:30 PM. Meet your candidates and learn about their positions on the issues that matter to you. \n\nGet informed before deciding who to vote for in November!\n\n\n\nThe race to elect San Diego's new local leaders is entering the final stretch. As Election Day nears the Chamber is excited to host Virtual Candidate Forums to connect the new potential elected officials with the community. \n\n\n\nDuring this Forum we will focus on two important races in San Diego. The first being the San Diego County Board of Supervisors District 3 seat featuring the incumbent Supervisor\, Kristin Gaspar\, and Terra Lawson-Remer. The second race is the 50th Congressional District seat featuring Ammar Campa-Najjar and Darrell Issa. She is a mother\, community leader\, and small business owner\, working as CFO of her family's small business with seven locations employing nearly 150 San Diegans.\n		\n	\n\n \n\n\n	\n		\n			\n			Terra Lawson-Remer\n\n			Terra Lawson-Remer is a third-generation San Diegan\, who served as Senior Advisor in the U.S. Department of the Treasury during the Obama Administration. As an economist with the United Nations and World Bank\, she worked around the world to create jobs\, restart businesses\, and generate economic activity after a crisis.  \n\n			 \n		\n	\n\n\n \n\n \n\n6:15-7:15 PM   |   50th Congressional District \n\n \n\n\n	\n		\n			\n			Ammar Campa-Najjar\n\n			Ammar was born in East County and raised by his working-class Christian mother. He is a small business owner and the former Executive Director of Public Affairs for the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. In this role\, he worked across the aisle with members of Congress and President Trump to ensure American small businesses were at the forefront of our nation's economic agenda.\n		\n	\n\n \n\n\n	\n		\n			\n			Darrell Issa\n\n			A 10-year army veteran who retired as a captain\, Darrell Issa was the founder and C.E.O. of Directed Electronics ? a successful car security company based in San Diego County. After selling his business\, Darrell Issa was elected to The United States House of Representatives where he was later elected by his peers to serve as the Chairman of The House Committee on Oversight and Reform. In this position\, he personally identified more than 10 billion dollars in government waste\, theft\, and mismanagement on behalf of American Taxpayers.
