DESCRIPTION:Distinction Gallery is proud to present Andreas Englund who is most well know for his hilarious photo realistic paintings featuring an anonymous superhero and every day human struggles.  The opening reception will be held on Saturday July 8 from 6-10pm.  We will also have live music\, ArtHatch open studios\, BK Cellars Wine\, and Stone Beer.\n\n\n\nAndreas has quickly become one of the most well loved and collected artists.  He has been featured in dozens of art fairs\, magazines\, books\, and news stories.  In addition to his paintings and prints being shown around the world\, Andreas has created large-scale murals in many places including Berlin\, Norway\, New York\, and Grand Central in Stockholm.  He has also created many commissions for high profile businesses including Sony Playstation.   In addition to paintings\, lithographs\, and prints Andreas is also a recognized filmmaker.  Andreas Englund was born in Falun in 1974\, Sweden.  He is based in Stockholm.\n\n\n\nIn the artist's words:\n\n"Working with communication became a natural choice for me since I ve always wanted to share my thoughts with others. Either through conversation or visual media I want to share insights and thoughts\, experience and humor.  My foundation is based on storytelling and communicating. - Andreas Englund\n\n\n\nGallery Director - Melissa Inez Walker:  \n\n"It was love at first sight when I saw a handful of prints by Andreas as part of the "My Hero" exhibition held at the California Center for the Arts.  I thought Andreas would be the perfect artist to exhibit during the month of Comic Con.  It is truly an honor that he accepted my request to exhibit at Distinction Gallery".\n\n\n\nThe exhibition will include oil paintings\, lithographs\, aquarelles\, and collectors\, premium\, and very affordable classic prints. \n\n\n\nThe exhibition will run from July 8 through August 5\, 2017. The opening reception with Andreas via skype\, live music\, ArtHatch open studios\, Stone Beer\, and BK Cellars wine will be on Saturday July 8\, from 6-10pm.\n\n\n\nArtHatch is a 7\,000 square foot building which houses Distinction Gallery: exhibitions changing monthly\, multiple exhibition spaces featuring work by represented artists\, "The Alley" featuring over 20 local artists\, 14 artist studios\, ranging in size from 150 to 800 square feet\, featuring local artists and the ArtHatch teens.
