Tell us about your company.

North County Gymnastics and the Gyminny Kids opened in 1987. I have been a part of the company since 2003. Liz and Rob, the founders and are the heart and soul of the business. The most important aspect to long-term success in business is the personal touch. Small gestures go a long way with the customer. Free coffee, Wifi, stadium seating, clean bathrooms, seasonal gifts, flowers, caring upbeat Coaches/front desk associates, proactive management and knowing the customer’s names and interests.

Our mission statement is “Fun and Fitness for all”. Our goal is to raise happy well-rounded children and to assist them in reaching their personal best. Gyminny Kids has always incorporated lesson plans within the gymnastics circuits that teach character, life lessons and build a foundation for lifelong success!

What products or services does your business provide?

Liz and Rob spent 30 years ironing out many of the kinks and created a system that I would call a well-oiled machine. Though we have 2250+ students and 3000 weekly enrollments, we have the systems, facility and staff to keep operations running smoothly. The Coaches we have are some of the best in the Nation with enough certifications to make your head spin. We take pride in the ongoing training that our entire staff participates in. The front desk associates are professional, warm and well informed of our policies which makes answering the client’s questions seamless.

We offer classes for children ages nine months to adult. This includes preschool and school aged recreational classes, ninja classes, preschool preparation classes ( gym+), tumbling, demonstration teams, circus and aerial, birthday parties, specialty and seasonal camps.

What makes Gyminny strong is our diversity both in age and backgrounds and our ability to work through obstacles and look at them as an opportunity for growth. The management staff does a phenomenal job of investing time in the staff vs focusing too much on the task. We believe if we treat the employees well, they will, in turn, treat our clients well. Happy clients tend to return!

What was the most memorable or successful moment in your business' history?

Gyminny was found back in 1987. Being in business in California for more than 30 years is something we are proud of. We hope to give back for another 30+ years!

Tell us an interesting fact about your business.

Our annual fundraiser " Coaches Cup". The website for this fun event is:

https://www.gyminnykids.com/coaches-cup-2019/

Taking place June 9th, 2019, where the coaches compete and the children win. Our tag line is "Kids Helping Kids" with the proceeds from the event going to charity. Last year we donated well over $20K to Rady's Children's Hospital and this year we aim to raise $100K. This is a fun, hilarious and heartfelt event that I encourage you to come support. We will not disappoint!

What tips/advice can you offer that is related to your business' industry?

Starting your child early in gymnastics will build a strong foundation. One class a week will improve your child's ability to: socialize in class, follow in line, communicate with a teacher, gross motor skills, playground readiness, preschool readiness. Start with gymnastics, go anywhere!
