The Green Build. A New Destination.
The Grand Tour is the public open house celebrating the completion of the Green Build Terminal 2 Expansion at San Diego International Airport. The weekend-long community event is hosted by San Diego International Airport, Turner PCL Flatiron, Kiewit/Sundt, URS, and HNTB with Tucker Sadler Associates.
The Green Build is the largest construction project in airport history and includes:
- 10 new gates
- Dual level roadway separating arriving and departing traffic. Depart above. Arrive below.
- New check-in pavilions under the Sky Sails on the Elevated Departure Roadway
- All new shopping and dining
- Sunset Cove - the architectural showpiece is the heart of the Terminal Expansion, and hosts a range of dining options with spectacular panoramic views of the airfield.
- New public art outside and inside
- Expanded security check point
- New ticket lobby
- New baggage claim area
PARKING
Park in Terminal 2 Lot, using entrance off of McCain Road ONLY. Parking will be validated. Complimentary shuttles will be provided from this lot to the terminal entrance.
